Categories

The SI Insider 50 seeks to recognise the people who are shaping the future of social intelligence, globally. There are five categories for you to nominate against.

Bold Brands

This category recognises outstanding leaders working for brands who have made significant contributions to improving their organisation's social intelligence capabilities. These individuals are skilled practitioners who skilfully utilise social and internet data to bring value to their organisations and create an atmosphere that promotes success in the industry.

Changemakers

This category recognises the remarkable individuals who have made a lasting impression on the industry. With their innovative ideas, captivating speeches, valuable contributions to industry research, and ability to shape conversations and influence the direction of the social intelligence industry, they have truly made a significant impact.

Insightful Innovators

This category recognises exceptional individuals working for service providers who are passionately pushing the boundaries of innovation, nurturing growth, and pioneering the field of social intelligence. They serve as the dynamic driving force behind their organisation, their clients, and the industry as a whole.

Tech Pioneers

This category is a celebration of the outstanding individuals who work for technology vendors. They are dedicated to thinking outside the box and paving the path for new approaches and driving innovation throughout the business, industry and with their users.

Rising Stars

This category recognises the up-and-coming leaders in the industry who have the potential to make a profound impact on social intelligence in the years to come. We applaud their potential to become future trailblazers in the field. To be considered in this category the nominee must have less than 4 years experience in their career.

Who should nominate?

We’d love to see nominations from professionals that analyse and use social and internet data and are doing and achieving big things.

You might be in social listening, social intelligence, audience intelligence, digital insights, semiotics, cultural insights, data science, communications, social media, research and insights - if you analyse, interpret or put into action insights from social and internet data then we want to see your nomination.

Why nominate?

The SI Insider 50 is the first and only curated power list of the most influential people working in social intelligence. Being recognised as a leader in the industry is a notable badge of honour.

This isn’t just a list, our global SI Insider 50 community group and meetings keep industry leaders connected, informed, and on the cutting edge.

How do we decide

The SI Insider 50 list is solely created from the nominations received through our free nomination form. To be considered, we look at four factors.

1.

Leadership within their organisation

Including details on how they demonstrate the importance and value of social data, either by transforming how the organisation perceived and utilises social data in any or several use cases, or by showing how solutions are genuinely impacting the way business is done.

2.

A track record of creating a culture of social data integrity, literacy, impact and diversity and inclusion

Including details on the internal (and external) initiatives they have been involved with to ensure the organisation and team have the necessary support, skills, education, opportunities, and feedback to create business impact with social data.

3.

An innovative approach to building the social intelligence engine

Including details on the types of projects undertaken and how this has matured (or roadmap for maturity), the role technology plays and partnerships, the role of agencies, and details on your social intelligence team/department and your role in it.

4.

A reputation for advocating the importance and value of social intelligence and demonstrating thought leadership

Including details on how they interact with broader industry or advance the reputation of social and internet data within their discipline. Are they playing an active role in a council or working group? Are they involved in external activities? How do they engage with The Social Intelligence Lab?

How to nominate

Nominating in the SI Insider 50 is simple.

Nominations are free and there is no limit to the number of nominations you can make. To be considered for the 2025 list, simply click the Nominate Now button and complete the form and answer questions on how your leader demonstrates:

1.  Leadership across their organisation
2. A culture of social data integrity, literacy, impact and diversity and inclusion
3.  An innovative approach to building the social intelligence engine

What is the SI Insider 50?

The Social Intelligence Insider 50 is the first curated list of influential professionals working in and around the social listening industry.

When do nominations close?

Nominations for the 2025 list will close on the November 3rd, 2024 at 23:59 GMT.

Who is this open to?

Any professional working in and around the social listening industry who is doing and achieving big things. They should be considered a practitioner rather than professionals in sales, development, or commercial positions.

What is the cost to enter?

Nominations are free thanks to our partnership with Audiense.

Can I nominate only one person?

No. You can nominate as many people and as many times as you like.

How is the final list decided upon?

The Social Intelligence Lab reviews every nominee, focusing on how they stack up in the following areas:

Leadership within their organisation: including details on how they demonstrate the importance and value of social data, either by transforming how the organisation perceived and utilises social data in any or several use cases, or by showing how solutions are genuinely impacting the way business is done.

A track record of creating a culture of social data integrity, literacy, impact and diversity and inclusion: including details on the internal (and external) initiatives they have been involved with to ensure the organisation and team have the necessary support, skills, education, opportunities, and feedback to create business impact with social data.

What should I focus on in my submission?

Whether you’re nominating yourself or someone else, you want to highlight how you, or they, are making a difference in social intelligence and merit consideration for the list.

There are four questions to answer in the nomination process. Each question has a specified maximum word count. Answers should focus on the impact the individual is making and provide tangible evidence of this impact and leadership.

Is my submission confidential?

Yes. All personal details are removed from your nomination. The judges review the written submission and this is not shared beyond the judges. We take your confidentially seriously.

Why should I enter?

Making the SI Insider 50 list is a highly coveted honour and those making the list widely reference the benefits of being recognised.

Making the grade increases your industry visibility (both within your organisation and externally), opens doors to other opportunities.

In 2023, over 500 nominations were received for The SI Insider 50. This reflects the status of The Social Intelligence Lab in the industry and the ambition of leading practitioners to be included. So, if you make the final list, it is a real indication of your stature in the social intelligence industry.

Does it matter if I self-nominate?

We highly encourage self-nominations. The nominations that are self-nominations tend to be of a higher quality than those from a third party.

Judges are unaware if the nomination is a self-nomination or not. We do not share this information. There is no ego is self-nominating.
