What does social intelligence mean to you?

Using social data of consumer behaviors and interactions to create an integral analysis and strategy for you or your business. Social Intelligence also means understanding the origin of the data and metrics being displayed, but also requires you to go beyond just analyzing the data, to help create a smart plan.

What motivates you in your work? What makes you want to keep working in social intelligence?

Understanding the consumer more, and making our clients see the importance of making ideas that respond to a better customer experience, going beyond a pretty catch phrase or promotional.

What do you think makes you successful in your work?

I have learned to appreciate the little details in an idea that responds to strategy or marketing plan, and being able to have great people and experts that understand and analyze their clients, consumers and data. Being stubborn also has helped because many times it is hard to believe in what you can create and learn until your work persistently, and you try and try over and over again.

What are the key skills that have contributed to your success?

Skills I have gained doing polls and quantitative research, community management, media planning, Project management and client business relationships.

What makes social data special compared to other data sources?

It’s more tied to digital behavior and is always changing depending on the social media platforms updates and changes. This is special because it lets you see immediate differences in preferences and behaviors in social interactions, media and format consumption, preference, perception. We measure metrics in under 4 basic KPIs, Reach, Positioning preference and Actions.

What does being a social intelligence pioneer mean in the context of your work?

It’s somebody who is constantly connecting dots in new ways (how data relates to behaviors, insights and  projections.). It’s somebody who’s using these new ways of analyzing a customer context to create smart and innovative plans
