What was your journey/career path to your current position?
I joined TikTok almost two years ago. I spent the majority of my career in the FMCG industry, working at P&G and Nestlé (Cereal Partners Worldwide). Before joining TikTok I was working on my PhD in Behavioral Science and Consumer Neuroscience at Warwick Business School, as well as supporting start-ups in building strong customer-first business strategies.
What's your proudest achievement of your career to date?
My most inspirational career milestone to date is setting up the amazing EU Research & Insights Team at TikTok. The Team covers the whole of Europe and has managed to grow while navigating remote working.
What does social intelligence mean to you?
For me social intelligence means an opportunity to stay close to consumers 24/7 and build closer relationships with them in a unique and consistent way.
What's on the cards for you and your team/organisation in 2022?
My team is focused on building in-depth thought leadership that will bring a holistic understanding of the unique value that TikTok brings to advertisers marketing mix.
How do you see social intelligence and its use evolving?
I think more and more companies are starting to realize that social intelligence tools bring a lot of value in developing holistic insights and supporting business and marketing strategies.
