Marissa is a global cultural strategist whose story began in the small island of Barbados but has taken her to South America, Africa, the United States and the wider Caribbean. Her passion for people, history, context and culture is seen in all her work as she is known for incorporating them in her insights and strategies. While her journey started in environmental journalism, she has undertaken many audience-focused roles within strategy: beginning with Community Management to her present role as Strategist, Strategic Intelligence at Publicis Media Luxe.

The Luxe Labs team is a unique unit which functions to answer complex questions for LVMH Maisons using social listening, competitive analysis and research. With social being closely intertwined with culture, it is imperative to understand the landscape and its fast-turn implications for business. Outside of luxury, she has worked on clients such as Spotify, Team USA, Twitch and Opendoor to name a few. By discovering cultural insights and tensions, she has successfully been able to build unique relationships between brands and their audiences that go beyond "viral moments."
