Infographic: The State of Social Intelligence 2019
Business publisher Raconteur has drawn on research from The Social Intelligence Lab, Hootsuite and We are Social to create a new infographic, focusing on how well businesses are leveraging the full potential of social data.
Among the key findings highlighted are:
- In 2019, an estimated 3.5 million people (45% of the world’s population) now have social media accounts, with an average user spending 2 hours 16 minutes on social media every day.
- 80% of social data analysis professionals believe that social data provides unique insights that cannot be obtained from other data or research sources.
- ‘Customer insight’ was ranked as the top objective of social media intelligence for respondents (72%), followed by ‘measuring campaign success’ (66%), ‘better understanding of customers’ (57%) and ‘understanding customer sentiment’ (56%).
Dr. Jillian Ney of The Social Intelligence Lab said: “Thanks to Raconteur for presenting some of the key findings of our recent State of Social intelligence Survey in such an accessible and engaging way. In light of recent negative media focus on social media data analysis, it’s never been more important for social intelligence practitioners to be sharing positive messages about our work and its potential for economic and social good.”
