Who are you and what are you doing at Demo Day?

Hello! My name is Sam Deacon, and I’m VP, Enterprise at Pulsar.

I’m here to show folks three radically new approaches to social data we’ve developed to help the companies we work with.

Why is now the time to be investing in social intelligence (and your solution!)?

Social media is at the heart of so many different changes and evolutions in business and society.

Some organizations are investing heavily in building always-on, bespoke systems that structure, contextualize and make sense of social data at scale, and then tying those to their marketing and their brand and reputation efforts. Those organizations will be able to understand and connect with their potential customers at a whole different level for years to come.  

What one word sums up your business?

Audiences.

What’s the best use case(s) for your technology?

I have four: marketing personalization, audience insights, cultural trends, and reputation intelligence.  

What makes your technology and/or approach unique? What’s your USP?

Generic listening and analysis won’t help solve your business problems, which are unique.

Our approach is to pair industry-specific AIs, custom analytical models and premium data sources with a highly-specialized research team, to deliver contextualised, action-oriented insights in each of the verticals we serve.

What's the best thing about working in social intelligence?

Applying different lenses to the same data allows you to see so many different sides or aspects of the same phenomenon, trend or community – it’s always surprising!
