Sponsorship analytics platform GumGum Sports appoints Dominic Zuccarini as SVP of Sales
GumGum Sports, a leader in AI-powered sponsorship analytics, has appointed Dominic Zuccarini as Senior Vice President of Sales. Based out of Santa Monica, Zuccarini will lead and expand the company’s domestic and international sales strategy.
Zuccarini brings more than 20 years of building and leading profitable, high-growth, SaaS and media sales organizations at companies such as Zendesk and big data and social analytics platforms Klout (sold to Lithium), Dachis Group and Involver (sold to Oracle).
GumGum Sports is an AI-powered sponsorship analytics solution that delivers data and insights (including social data insights) to help brands, agencies, properties, and media companies contextualize the value of their sponsorships.
Zuccarini’s appointment comes at the end of a successful 12-month period for GumGum Sports, which saw global customer count and overall revenue double and international revenue grow by over 15%.
Brian Kim, GumGum Sports’ General Manager, said: “Over the three years since launch, GumGum Sports has continued to push innovation and technological advancement in the sports and sponsorship analytics industries. We’re excited to announce Dominic’s addition, a proven tech veteran, to help fuel that growth.
“Dominic brings strong relationships and valuable experience in helping to grow early-stage companies. His leadership will no doubt be a tremendous asset to us as we accelerate our go-to market strategy and continue our expansion beyond the North America market.”
The company now services over one-third of all teams across MLB, NFL, MLS, NBA, and NHL, and recently expanded into golf, rugby, squash and lacrosse sponsorship measurement.
In the last year, esports has also become an area of growth for the company, which last April launched its Esports Sponsorship Management Platform (SMP) to allow esports teams and organizations to configure sponsors seamlessly during gameplay without impacting a player’s stream, helping teams and organizations further monetize the industry. Continuing to expand GumGum Sports’ esports footprint will be a focus for Zuccarini.
