Front Office Sports reports on TikTok being the next social media venture for sports. Quoting research from Conviva, the global streaming and social media intelligence firm, 30 of the NBA’s clubs have created and posted at least one video on TikTok.
The Guardian Reports that Labour Must Use Social Analysis Tools
The Guardian reports that the political right wins by striking fear into its citizens’ hearts, the article argues that the left must raise their hopes. It was suggested that sophisticated social media tools must be used to catch the onslaught of misinformation.
Majority of Marketers Claim Data Confidence but Hurdles Remain
ResearchLIVE reports on a new study from Allison+Partners that highlights that 87% of marketing directors believe that their department’s use of data was either somewhat or far above average, compared to a similar organisation. 89% were also confident in their own ability to extract insights from data. Interestingly, social listening is the second most popular data source for marketers to extract insights.
Social-Media Data Can Boost Consumer-Confidence Forecasting

Interference 2020: The Disinformation is Coming from Inside the Country
An article for the Columbia Journalism Review explores disinformation in politics. The article quotes research from the social intelligence agency, Storyful. The research spotted spikes in “spam or bot-like manner” on Twitter and a host of messages on 4chan and 8chan full of advice on how to target the campaign of Senator Elizabeth Warren. The article continues with examples of misinformation against the senator.
